I’ve had the opportunity to work in elderly home care, which in itself has been an incredibly valuable experience. Working in healthcare is very much about personal service, and it can be overwhelming if you don’t understand the individual’s specific needs. There’s no room for shortcuts... it has to be done just right, every time.

That’s why I would say home care has taught me how to communicate more effectively and improve my memory. After all, the job involves keeping track of keys, addresses, medications, and even making sure that extra slice of cheese is placed just the right way on the sandwich.

I have worked at Volvo Cars as a forklift operator, supplying the production line with materials needed to assemble cars on the assembly line. The job requires a fast pace and the ability to handle stressful situations on a daily basis. It also involves heavy lifting and working in a climate that varies with the seasons (very hot in the summer and cold in the winter).

I have experience working in several departments, including TC, TA, Bulycke, G-fabriken, and RA (Volvo Central Warehouse). The tasks differ between these locations: in TC and TA, the focus is on delivering material to production, while in RA, the work involves packing and shipping goods to customers.

I have worked as an assembler on the production line at Volvo Cars in TC, where I was directly involved in building cars. The role required precision, consistency, and the ability to follow strict quality and safety standards. While the job was often repetitive, it also offered unpredictability due to the diverse mix of car models and the different configurations, options, and accessories that changed from vehicle to vehicle. This required me to stay alert and adaptable throughout each shift.

Working in a high-paced industrial environment taught me to perform under pressure and meet tight production deadlines. My time at Volvo strengthened my ability to focus even more under pressure and adapt quickly to changes in production demands.
